The Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve Celebrations is one of the most iconic events in the world, illuminating the city’s skyline as millions tune in from around the globe and thousands gather along the Thames.
This year, the spectacular event was brought to life by Identity, working closely with Ticketmaster and a remarkable network of partners.
Behind the Scenes: A Collaborative Effort
Delivering an event of this magnitude requires dedication, precision, and teamwork:
- 101 production and operational staff worked tirelessly on-site.
- Over 3,300 security and stewarding personnel ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.
- Collaboration involved 41 agencies and stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution.
- 8 entrances and 6 ticketed viewing areas welcomed around 100,000 attendees to central London.
- For the first time in the UK, color-coded tickets were used, simplifying navigation and improving the overall experience.
Alex Berti, VP of Client Development at Ticketmaster, expressed his excitement about the collaboration:
“It’s been a pleasure working together with Identity from planning to onsale, and all the way through to providing a team of 31 Ticketmaster staff on the night. What a great way to bring in the new year!”
