The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles have led to a temporary halt in the production of Jeopardy! during its 41st season. Filming at Sony’s Culver City lot, the popular game show was originally scheduled to tape episodes from Wednesday to Friday this week.
Those dates will now be rescheduled, with production expected to resume on January 27.
Other Shows Also Affected
Jeopardy! is not alone in its decision to pause production. Other shows, such as After Midnight and The Price Is Right, have also temporarily shut down operations to ensure the safety of cast, crew, and live audiences.
- After Midnight, hosted by Taylor Tomlinson, films on the Paramount lot.
- The Price Is Right, hosted by Drew Carey, tapes at Haven Studios in Glendale.
Both productions, along with Jeopardy!, remain “dark” as wildfires continue to affect areas like the Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena.

Industry Response
Michael Davies, executive producer of Jeopardy!, and host Ken Jennings are committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the show. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Jeopardy! is distributed domestically by CBS Media Ventures and internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
The wildfires have impacted various sectors of Hollywood, with other productions, including Grey’s Anatomy and NCIS, also experiencing delays.

Support and Donations
In response to the wildfires, numerous Hollywood organizations, including the LAFD Foundation, Annenberg Foundation, and Wasserman Foundation, have mobilized efforts to assist. Those looking to help can contribute to these and other local initiatives supporting affected communities.
While Jeopardy! fans eagerly await the show’s return, safety remains the top priority as Los Angeles battles these destructive wildfires.
